pronunciation and stress

In this topic I mainly deal with words that are wrongly pronounced such as the word "preferable"most people pronounce it as

pri "f:rable
we can not pronounce it as it appears in
/prɪˈfɜːr/

the correct pronunciation for the word is

/ˈpref.ər.ə.bl̩/
Here the stress is on the first syllable while on the contrary above it has two syllables
so this section will deal with such mistakes and we will try as hard as possible to set it right I hope all members and moderators will cooperate to improve pronunciation of words
soon we will start giving lessons and samples of good pronunciations
